... it is bloody good!!! LOL
Just had to tell you about the great day I had yesterday!
I had my first ever performance appraisal and beforehand, I was really nervous and unsure of what to expect! Though, to be honest, I shouldn't have as I pride myself in my work. I give it my all and really enjoy it too!
The WCC process goes something like this - I do a self-evaluation of my tasks, Jill (my boss) does the same and then we come together and compare notes. At the end we agree on an overall evaluation covering our discussion and hand it in to Human Resources for their records.
I was surprised that it went so well (again, i shouldn't have!) as I feel there's still a looooooooooot of room for improvement on my part! ...but that's for me to continue working on...
So overall, I passed my first p.a with flying colours ... and maybe I'll get a raise after that... haha...
The second part of my day was even sweeter... because I was officially informed that I got an apartment!!!!
I KNOW!!!!!!! After 8 bloody months of looking, no... make that 8 months of desperately searching, applying, getting rejected and all that stupid crap, I get the sweeeeeeeeeeeetest deal - a spacious one bedroom apartment for 940CHF a month (the average rent for such an apartment in town is 1800CHF!!!!).
So, yeah, I move in April 1, but I can start moving my stuff at the end of this month. It overlooks the Jura (and the airport but you can ignore that), 15 mins walk from work, there's a park nearby, 10 mins ride from the airport (my 2nd favourite place in Geneva ha! after my new apt that is...) and close to shops and all that stuff!
How faaaaaaaaaaaab no?
Now I can finally invite my family and friends to come over! I have my own space. Ill be closer to town. And Im really looking forward to the experience of living alone - after 27 years of always being with family, roommates and friends!
I AM E.X.C.I.T.E.D!!!!!!!
Eh voilĂ ! More reasons to smile... lol...
So happy day, whereever you are!
PS. Ta-rah - at least one of us got good news!
