I had an oh oh OooooOOOoooH moment...

... or nearly did (gotcha!!!), if it weren't for the other 400 spectators in the theater!

I just got back from a flamenco show and let me tell you - OH MY LAWD!!!!! Everything about it blew me away. I don't even know where to start. Ha! I guess this is how some non-Polynesian women feel when they watch a Polynesian dance show ey?

Anyway, I was completely entranced. There were two dancers (brother and sister) and five musicians. The male dancer was so energetic and full of masculinity. Even his graceful tiny hip movements made me wanna have his babies!!! He was cocky, sensitive, macho, graceful, agile, sexy and proud. He really knew how to work the women crowd and take us into our own little fantasies! :P

As for the female dancer, she was something else. Fierce. Strong. Scorned. Vengeful. Sad. Powerful. Sensual. Natural. Ah... wow, her every move bewitched you and you just couldn't take your eyes off her. And for some reason, I related a lot to her energy. I guess it was all of the above - I am or have felt all of the above.

And then there was the cantaores - the singers. Ai papi! Their pained voices made you feel every emotion they were singing about. From the heartbreak of a ditched lover to a woman's jealous rages to the intensity of the love they felt for someone... *sighs*

Oh and the guitarists, you ask? Simply put - I wish I were that damn guitar!!!!!!!!! LOL

And all together, they connected so naturally and created this communal feeling. So captivating....

My oh my, this must be the raciest post I've ever written, but hey blame it on the flamenco. It totally possessed me tonight. See for yourselves (not the same as seeing it live who!)
