... I have a good reason for having been MIA on the blogsphere. For once it wasn't pure and utter laziness. My last August entry was about six weeks ago, just before I embarked on another lovely adventure. This time, the destination was home sweet home. And it was for work. And let me tell you, this was both a curse and a blessing!
The blessing came when I made use of that phrase "it's not what you know but who you know". I'm so glad I keep in touch with old school friends, village/church people and parents' contacts (thank you Mum and Dad!). I was not shy to call people up and ask for favours and yep, I milked that ish until it was DRY!!! And because of my shameless use of others (bless y'all!) my work there was a complete success. Ka-ching!!! Oh and a bonus to the blessing was watching the Manu play against Western Force in front of a sold out crowd. :)
The curse of course...as I was so crazy busy with work, I didn't get to spend much time with family and friends. I could only fit in a dinner/lunch/breakfast here, a few drinks there or a quick visit to the ulucrack grandma here. I was so sad I couldn't see everyone but then again, at least I got to see my mum and family especially my darling nephew. And after 3 weeks of intensive work, my one week's holiday after seemed like a vortex of friends, family, new friends, projects etc etc etc!!! Oy vey!
And speaking of projects, I'm so so so so proud to be part of the great team that put this together (big shout outs to Twayne and Sita!! One love!!!):
Pretty neat ey? More importantly, the overwhelming support from ALL OVER THE WORLD (I mean, Mongolia? Iraq? and Finland?) is really touching.
AND in addition, I ended up in Hamilton to support the boys in blue against Wales. And although we lost, that weekend was unforgettable... mainly because it was a weekend with the "divas, laus and pusalalaus" - a bunch of crazy, loud, fun and fafafabulous characters!! More on that later!
FINALLY and definitely NOT the least... the highlight of it ALL is that my darling and sweet mother is at this very moment sitting next to me reading a book. YES! She's in Geneva!!! I am so blessed and so happy to have her here. Her presence, beyond anything and everything that's happened in the last six weeks, is what gives me joy, happiness and strength!!!! Indeed! I am blessed!
Et voila, here ends my scatterbrain entry for today but hopefully it's given you a glimpse of my ever so crazy and wonderful life! :)
