...one thing/aspect at a time. That, my friends is my goal for this year.
I went to Ikea today to check out the January sales plus I had a 20CHF gift card I needed to use. It was jam-packed and stuffy as usual on a Saturday afternoon. I walked around aimlessly not really finding anything to my fancy and then it hit me, I don't need any of this stuff. Nothing. Nothing in there will really be of any value to me. Yes, I will use it but only for a while. And then come a few weeks or months later it'll just be one more thing to add to take up space in my apartment. No thank you.
So I walked out of Ikea empty-handed and totally determined to do two things:
1. Declutter: And I don't just mean like my material things. No, I mean everything. From my apartment, to my office to my social life even health wise oh and you'll cringe at this one but also, declutter emotionally. Sometimes I feel like I hold on to bad memories or linger on unnecessary emotions and bloody hell, it's not worth it.
2. It's all about quality: I want quality stuff, quality relationships and quality experiences. So far, I've had it good in life with some fabulous friends and family supporting me and I've had unbelievable experiences but there's still so much nonsense and bullshit. Granted I won't ever get rid of it all, but I will try my best to minimize it. And OH MY GOSH! I'm watching Modern Family as I write this (what? it's called multi-tasking lol) and Jay said something just now which vindicates me and I quote: "When you reach a certain age, you want to spend what precious little time you have left with people you actually like and not some bozos who glommed onto you...". Thank you Jay!
So there you have it. Out with the crap and in with the sweet stuff.

Gee I suppose that's bye bye for me then since you're decluttering with all the crap...YOU WISH LOL sorry cuz you're stuck with me forever!!!!
