I got a crazy idea...

...and y'all should tell me what you think about it.

So I've decided not to pursue a renewal of my contract once it ends in 2014 (then again, who knows they may not even want me back! ha!). Ive mentioned this many times in previous posts (anxious much?!?!?).

And so... how does this relate to my crazy idea you ask? Well let me tell you - I want to go back home (ideally after an 18 month long tour around the world to visit the countries I've not yet visited but that's a completely different post!) *breath* so.. where was I? Oh right, so I see myself going home and setting up a kebab shop. Yep, you read that right. TADA! A wonderful kebab shop. Kinda like this but waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay more stylish:

And it will sell these:
And maybe (hopefully) ALL of these:

It will be a small stall with a very small sit down area and it should be centrally located i.e. very close to all the nightclubs, because my target group will be all the drunks of Samoa stumbling outta the clubs and needing to feed their alcohol fueled bodies so they can continue their raving nighttime activities, those damn heathens! And what is the best drunk food in the world? In my humble opinion and from VERY LITTLE *ahem* experience, it is the kebab.

You can't go wrong with the kebab man. It's fresh white burger buns filled with scrumptious, tender meat (don't deny it... Samoans love their meat!!!) AND you get the added value of having a salad in it too with the choice of carrots, tomatoes, onions etc etc thrown in... PLUS you also have a choice of sauces to choose from... and and AND on top of that you can get fries!

Did I mention it will be good value for your money, because I will sell them CHEAPer than Pigaki and Georgie's.? Oooooooooh yeaaaaaaaaaah, cheap tasty fast food to go! Ya can't go wrong!!!

And during the day, it will cater to all the hungry government workers, school kids and not to mention the faifeaus and the lauasas etc etc (hmmm not that they are one and the same.... hmmmm). Wow, I would be doing my bit for my country with this idea by feeding my people and totally ignoring the health effects but hello??? it's not like I'm forcing them to put kebabs in their mouths! !!! *teardrop*

ANYWAY, back on subject - I have friends who worked in their family's kebab shops who can help set it up, train people and they know where to buy all the equipment and I have another friend in Samoa who started a meat producing factory (hello again? keep it local! lol)

So yeah, I think it's an idea that's realistic and feasible... although one never knows, I could meet a Swiss millionaire tomorrow and sail off into the horizon...or aaah! get hit by a bus! We'll see.

So ladies (ioe aua ga o oukou lava fafige e faikakala i gei mea!! ha!) what say you - hit or miss?

Do it. I love kebabs. If you start a kebab shop then i can eat there when i come home for the holidays. Pleeease!

We must all embrace our dreams and work like heck to make them reality. (esp if those dreams involve food that I love to eat.)

Same, I LOVE kebabs. There's this place on Queen St in Auckland - Kebab on Queens or something I can't remember now. But they make the maddest kebabs! Lamb kebab with lots of chilli and mayo. Yummay. If you can make that, I'm your best customer for life lol. Oh and that little tiny detail you have about being cheaper than Pigaki...you better stick to it haha.

Seriously though, WHY would you want to come back? In a few months you'll wish you never left Geneva. Just saying :)
